So, my country, Germany, is about to elect an extremist right-wing party that is openly talking about dismantling our constitution protection agency "in it's current form"

How do I get firefox to only use it's default device?

Currently, I have a problem that, whenever I want to use my headset microphone via firefox, it tries to force me to use "Virtual Desktop Audio", for some reason. The default device on both windows and specifically firefox itself is my headset microphone. And it works, too, so that's not the issue, either. Basically, when I permanently allow a website to access my microphone, it always switches to Virtual Desktop Audio, with no way of changing it. I have to keep it on "always ask", so that I can pick my headset, but then it will still ask me to allow Virtual Desktop Audio several times before it finally gives up. Why is firefox doing this, and how do I stop it?

Animals and memories

So, I was wondering: If the Backrooms can feed off of human memories, can it also feed off of other animals? We literally see a seagull in the movie, and it seems to be a real one. We also see a fly clipping in, so it is definitely possible for animals to end up there. So, can the Backrooms acces the memories of, like, a mouse as well? What would be the effects of that?

One thought I like to play around with, even though I'm 100% sure that's not canon, is that this is one of the reason the human still lifes tend to be so terrifying. Most wild animals are really scared of humans particularly, so that might affect how the still lifes behave.

Is this a fledgling?

So, I have some wood pigeons that come by my balcony every now and then. Today I saw one that looks a bit different? The colouration is different, and it's got some kind of fluff on his chest. Is this a fledgling?

I got my license!

A few years ago, I posted here, because I decided to tackle my anxiety by using a bicycle. Basically, my main fear was that I'd make a mistake and seriously hurt someone else. And using a bicycle basically lowered the stakes.

Well, today I post here, because I finally have a driver's license! It was a very stressfull (and expensive) endevour, and I don't have a car yet, but just having made it this far feels great. I'm still nervous on the road. But give me a few months, I'm sure it will get better.

The cycling did really help, but so did a very patient driving instructor. I basically spent my first few lessons just learning to stay calm. And for the practical exam, I basically used a lot of placebos. Everyone believing in me, telling myself that the examiner would be nice, a cheap tire profile gauge I declared to be a lucky charm, basically anything I could think of to calm myself. And, well, that seems to have worked for me.

Edit: OG Post
