Suspending fluke?
Anyone else experimented with a suspending soft fluke rig? I've started playing with it recently and had pretty good luck. My bfs rods I've been running some strike king 3.5 inch elaztech and depending on what hook i grab sit just above or just under neutral. Very slowly float to the top with the nose a little low. Light twitches cause it to dive slightly before slowly floating back up. Bass seem to really like it.
Been doing something similar with the bigger stuff too. 5" big bite baits jerk minnow, 5/0 hook and a 3d printed float pin shoved in from the front. Basically a 3/16" x3/4" tube, flat on one end and pointy on the other. Printed single wall with 0% infill.
