What is the young generation’s obsession with 5in AR pistols with no stock/ brace? It looks ridiculous, and they look ridiculous shooting it.

Looking into 2 possible routes. 3.1” slide on a xmacro frame so the comp sits flush to the slide. Or a 365 legion? Would be my new CCW, and the metal frame of the leigon worries me a bit. Worried it will be too heavy to comfortably carry it. I’ve never actually held one (I know I needa get my hands on one before blind buying). But does anybody have any input as to which route to go?
