Do we actually think Rio could beat Ilia?

Pretty much what the title says.

I have seen people say that m we are setting him up for failure when he is not going to beat Ilia and others say that Ilia will have to watch out from now on.

In my opinion, at least, I think Rio won't beat him. He is just turning senior and Ilia has been winning events by a 20-30 point difference.

I have heard people debate that Rio is the whole package. Which in a way I don't disagree? Like he definitely has better step sequences than Ilia but honestly components do nothing. Rio might beat Ilia at components but Ilia wins overall due to his technical.

Even if Rio gets a 4A (easier said than done) ilia has been doing it consistently for around 3 years now and it's not even worth that many points. So from Rio's part not that worth it really, he will most likely have many/some failed attempts for a jump that is just 1 point higher than the 4Lz.

It just feels Ilia is way ahead of everyone else. (The quad-quad combos in practice. The hinted quints) And even if Rio progresses so will Ilia. It's not like Rio will get better and Ilia will stay the same.

Am I biased here? Thoughts?

Do we think Ilia will go for quints this season?

Pretty much what the title says. He has supposedly been training quints since 2022, Rafael has said in previous interviews from a few years ago that he believes Ilia can do quints and Ilia has implied he has landed them in practice.

I know some people believe Ilia implying he has done quints is a bluff but I personally don't think it is. He can do 4,5 rotations (4A) consistently for 3-4 years now, I don't think him adding another half rotation is impossible.

Also with the Olympics now done (and his joke about going ham after the Olympics) I think it will be the right time he debuts them?... Like also this whole vision 2030 video thing, I cannot help but feel like in a way it is kinda hinting at quints too.

Like he has also done 4A+4A in practice I definitely think he has landed quints and maybe is waiting to get them consistent to show them to the world. Plus now with the rule changes with a jumping combo less maybe it will help with stamina too?...

Thoughts? Will we see quints or not? (Maybe quad+quad combo? But with the new rules changes it will he kinda a pain in the ass to plan the rest of he layout? Like generally it's not really that point-rewarding but neither are quints or the 4A so who knows)
