Name too close to cousins name?

I am not currently pregnant at the moment, but keep thinking about our top boy name and how it might be spoiled.

7 months ago we had our daughter and a month after that my sister-in-law had a daughter! It’s so fun for us to have them be cousins so close in age. The issue is, their daughter’s name rhymes with our one and only boy name we have picked out (again, not pregnant but plan to have more kids in the future). Just as an example: it would be like if their daughter’s name was Hayden and we wanted to name our son Aiden.

The name is not common but we both love it. Honestly it took us FOREVER to land on a boy name in the theme we have (we didn’t find out the gender with our daughter so we had to come up with boy names too).

I really am in love with the name and want to use it in the future, I just want to get some advice if you think this would cause issues!

Location: Michigan

My husband (25M) and I (25F) live on a nice 2.5 acre plot of land in a rural town in Michigan. Our Neighbors also live on roughly a 2.5 acre plot and have a walking path they have created around the perimeter of their property that they walk with their unleashed Golden Retriever(?) 3x a day. The problem is that their dog is super unruly. I'm not sure the age of the dog, but it is young enough that it has a ton of energy, but old enough that it should be trained (I'd guess about 2). If it sees something on our lot, it will bold away from the owners and they can't get him to come back. He doesn't listen to commands and appears to be somewhat aggressive (he will growl at us).

We welcomed our first baby girl 6 months ago and have been dreaming of our kids running and playing in our yard, but having their neighbor dog is starting to give me anxiety! Even bringing her outside with us makes me nervous because even if we are holding her, the dog is big enough that it could still reach her. Our neighbors are old, so even if they leashed the dog, it would easily be able to pull them down to get to where it wants.

I want to know if there is anything that we can do to protect ourselves and our kids. Should we have a conversation with them about our concerns? Can we ask them to put up a fence along that edge of the property line? Or is it up to us to protect ourselves?

My husband jokingly says that he will shoot the dog (we don't own any guns), but if it comes down to my child or the dog, we'll do ANYTHING to protect our child. We just don't want it to come to a situation where our child is actually in danger or hurt.

Edit: I'm aware we could put up our own fence, and we would do that if it's our only option. I'm curious if there is another option that doesn't force us to spend thousands of dollars. It's a long edge of the property that we share.

I’m frantically writing this before my husband and I leave for plans this afternoon. Long story short, I am 6 months postpartum, haven’t gotten my period back yet, and got one positive and one negative pregnancy test.

The one I took earlier in the day was the positive one. I took it at about 1pm and just left it in the bathroom. I came back around 4 to see 2 lines!! I freaked out and took another. This one doesn’t have a second line. I’m planning to take a test tomorrow morning so all I can do is wait.

Has anyone else had this? What does it mean?
