Coolant leak in G30 530i 2017
Hey everyone,
I have a 2017 BMW G30 530i (B48 engine) and recently noticed what appears to be a coolant leak.
I've attached some photos and a video for reference.
A few things I've noticed:
The car has shown a coolant refill warning.
I can see signs of coolant leaking.
The car otherwise drives normally and the temperature stays in the normal range.
No obvious overheating so far.
I'm hoping someone with experience on these cars can help me identify what the likely cause might be based on the photos/video.
A few questions:
What part do you think is leaking?
Is this a common issue on the G30 530i/B48?
Is it something that can be fixed DIY, or should I take it straight to a mechanic?
Roughly how much would a repair like this cost?
Is it safe to keep driving for now, or should I avoid driving until it's repaired?
The car has approximately 110,000kms on it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
