I had a book a few years ago that I LOVED, and my mum accidentally added it to the donation pile and it went to the charity shop. The cover was black and grey, almost a Smokey look and a flash of red in the middle. I remember distinctly the main character being described as having auburn hair, and the flash of red on the cover was her from behind but not an obvious human silhouette. Some vaguer details, I think it was set when the character was around school age but I can’t be sure! Anyone have any ideas?
