A new politician is making massive waves with their own independent party in your country. They seemingly have very little actual campaign funding/ marketing, but millions of people are pledging support to them. This politician wins a major election in a landslide with over 80% of the vote.

They begin enacting various policies that genuinely improve the lives of the citizens and the general welfare of the nation. They strive for world peace and have helped handle negotiations that would have seemed impossible. The world has been drastically changed by this person and largely for the better in such a short amount of time.

You are an investigative journalist trying to understand the phenomena surrounding this political moment, but you discover a dark answer. This politician has the superpower of persuasion which involves him emitting a special frequency that gets people to follow whatever he says. You have also discovered that those who try to resist his control get brain damage in the process the more they resist and several have even died from it. You have managed to link at least 1000 deaths so far to this power

What do you do with this discovery?

One day while you are cleaning your home you accidentally trip and push your hands against a wall which reveals it to be a hidden door as it slightly opens up. You open the door to find an entire hidden room.

In it is a military bed and a couple cardboard boxes that have been set up as a table and chair. On the table is a camera and several “private” photos of you, a half eaten sandwich, and a cup of what appears to be coffee… still warm. In the corner of the room you see a hatch which when opened leads to a dark tunnel.

What do you do with this discovery?

The flight is pretty self explanatory, the hypothetical location you want to travel to will take between 10 to 20 hours to reach.

The teleporter is instantaneous travel to your destination and has been used by thousands of people daily with it being a whole billion dollar business similar to airports but owned by 1 company. There are however protesters constantly at these places warning people and saying that you don’t actually teleport to your location, you are killed and a new identical you is reconstructed from the particles. The company denies these accusations, but they do not disclose how the technology exactly works to the public.

You can pick any game or show/film from the franchises to be your starting general location and time period such as for example picking Skyrim to start in Skyrim in the fourth era or pick Fallout 76 to start in West Virginia in 2102

You will be transported to a more realistic version of the universe where the general concepts and lore are accurate, but you have to deal with more realistic issues in those worlds such as for example needing to eat, sleep, worry about general health, etc. they won’t have the game mechanics you can mess with that aren’t lore accurate.

You are given a babysitting job by a superhero couple as they have to go to away for a couple days.

The baby is has your typical needs to take care of such as feeding, changing, etc but he has some superpowers. The baby has enough super strength to lift up a ton (2000 pounds) in weight. He is super-durable, and has the ability to levitate (doesn’t have full control over flight yet). Also the baby can shoot laser beams if he gets mad. The lasers won’t slice you in half but they can burn you.

You are a janitor/maintenance worker for one of the biggest corporations on the planet and while working you accidentally found a way to eavesdrop a secret meeting.

In attendance are the a dozen of the richest people in the world as well as 20 prominent world leaders. They have gathered in secret to discuss their plan. In 1 year they want to cause a nuclear war and wipeout a 3/4 of humanity while they are living on the moon. After several years they plan to “help” the survivors of Earth with any resources they have and claim to be living gods that they should worship.

You will essentially be Saul Goodman on steroids. You will win 99.99% of cases you take on (at minimum get extremely lower sentences/fines). You will make millions of dollars, but there is a .01% you will lose a case and the client will and makes you dead. Do you accept?

You wake up one day to find yourself electronically handcuffed to a wall. You see another person also handcuffed to the wall across from you. They look to be of similar size and height of you, but they are a complete stranger to you.

You are in a small four walled room with no windows or perceptible doors. The only things in the room are the two of you and a television screen hooked on the wall to the left of you. You have no memory for how you got here.

The screen turns on and Mr.Beast appears and says that you both have been picked for a special proposition. You have an opportunity to win a billion dollars if you are the only one that leaves the room alive or the both of you can leave and only get 1 dollar each. The door will open in 12 hours. The video ends. The handcuffs deactivate.

What do you do?

You are living in a city that has just now announced that they are going to try out the Purge as an experiment.

For the next 24 hours all crime will be legal in the city. This has been restricted to only the city limits and all exits and entrances to the city will be closed for the time the Purge is active.

Everyone was not given notice beforehand so no one was able to leave before it began. What would you do during the Purge? Do you think it would be like the movies or be less murdery?

You can change the words on any legal document (any document that is used in a court of law) and people will assume that that’s what it always said (it will be like a Mandela Effect and all references to that specific part of the document will be either altered or forgotten.

All you have to do is look at the original document or a copy of it and think about what you want to be altered.

Essentially your hands and feet will be locked in special metal restraints that essentially make them into metal stumps that can’t be used. You are not allowed to modify the restraints or make any prosthetics to aid you. The 1 billion will be given to you, if you can last the whole 5 years.

Jerry, the programmer of the Universe has been perusing some of the material that humanity has made. Recently it was the Bible, Warhammer 40K, and Dragon Age. This has given him inspiration for his latest update to his world simulation project

People can now become demonic beings based on the seven deadly sins if they do them too much of a certain sin: pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth. Becoming a demon essentially means you become a monster that is driven to sustain itself by committing the sin of their name, often leading to the deaths of others. Once a demon there is no cure besides death. Demons look similar to regular humans except they have glowing red eyes and colored skin based on their sin

Pride Demons seek to be worshipped by others. They claim to offer “gifts” in exchange for worship but it’s largely a lie where they keep you as captive slaves.

Greed demons steal whatever wealth they can from others to make a dragon’s hoard. They adorn themselves in gold and will do whatever it takes to get it.

Lust demons pretty much bang any living thing in their vicinity to death. They look as attractive as popular to lure prey and release persuasive pheromones

Envy demons try to prevent people from succeeding and try to make you the worst version of themselves. They seek to destroy wealth, relationships, and health in the means of seeming superior

Gluttons are fat demons that have an endless hunger for food with the worst even resulting in cannibalism to satiate it

Wrath demons go beserk leaving a path of death destruction in their wake.

Sloths are probably the chillest of demons and mainly just sleep and are very lazy. They do however release a powerful gas that if you breathe in makes you sleep forever

How do you think the world would respond to Jerry’s new update. What would you do in this scenario?

1 million alien ships appear all of a sudden, surrounding Earth from orbit.

You get teleported onto their command ship and they perform an operation on you with advanced alien technology making you able to communicate with them. You now have an implant on the back of your head with a long antenna sticking upward.

The alien commander tells you that Earth is now under their empire’s control. You have been randomly picked to be the ambassador and messenger between humanity and the aliens and you need to tell humanity who is currently in charge now.

The aliens demand that humanity offer 10,000,000 living humans every year be delivered to them. In exchange they will offer special technology that will improve humanity such as advanced medical research and efficient resource extraction methods like desalination. If humanity does not cooperate and maintain peaceful relations, the aliens will come down to forcefully occupy the planet

The commander teleports you back to where you originally were.

What are you going to do?

When you push the button you and a maximum of 4 people with you will be sent back in time to the year 1900 as a one way trip.

You can go to any location you want in that time period and you are given a billion US dollars (or equivalent value in a different currency. Besides the money, you are not allowed to bring anything else with you.

The money is in a magical bag which weighs only 5 pounds and gives you the amount of money you need at the moment.

A time traveler gives you an offer where they can take you back to anywhere in the world in the year 1900.

This is a one way trip for you and you cannot bring anything back with you as you will be traveling Terminator style (as in you will be completely naked when you land.

This will essentially be a new alternate reality for you and you are allowed to mess with it however way you want as long as it is physically possible and you find a plausible way to do it. You don’t have to worry about any grandfather paradox or “messing with the time stream” cause of it being essentially a different dimension that is basically the exact same as our one.

What would you do with this opportunity?

In all scenarios you are put in a half mile radius coliseum with nothing else in it but you and your animal opponent. You are equipped with a wooden round shield (40 inch diameter) and a Roman gladius (20 inch short sword). You also have some leather arm braces and a leather helm.

In this hypothetical version of our world, anyone who has died but is still remembered by at least one person alive, can be seen and communicated with.

The ghosts would look like however they want from their past life and they are translucent with a slight glowing aura surrounding them. They cannot interact/touch anything physical in the world.

If a ghost is no longer talked about or remembered then that ghost will disappear as a “final death”

A new company has formed after discovering the means of time travel and they are now advertising their services to the public.

For $1000 you can travel to any point in time in the past to witness anything you want. You are not allowed to mess with the timeline at these locations, bring anything to the past or from the past, and you will be accompanied by a “Travel Agent” that will make sure you follow the rules.

Would you use this service? If so, what kind of event would you want to witness and why?

This is a one way trip and you have one day to decide. You cannot bring anything with you.

You obviously will be able to know the general picture of what the world was like 50 years ago, but you will not know what the future is like 50 years from now. It could be better than today, could be worse.

One morning you wake up feeling sore in your arms. The next morning you feel sore in your legs. The next morning you wake up and feel normal. This cycle repeats multiple times. You go to a doctor eventually to get checked out but the doc can’t find anything they could diagnose.

After a few months of this same process happening again and again you start to notice that you have become a lot more fit and stronger, but then you start waking up with bruises at least once a week on random areas of your chest and sometimes your face. You go back to the doctor who is confused about your condition, but they still cannot find the cause of it as when medically observed everything seems normal.
