Migrated my os from one SSD to another because C drive was scanning and repairing on every boot. Now the new one does the same. Any advice?

I've moved all my storage from my c drive to my d drive. The d drive is larger and previously only held my games, I deleted the partition before migrating my OS to it. I did this because my c drive needed to scan and repair on every boot, suggesting some hardware issue. However, after migrating the issue persists on what used to be my d drive. This suggests its not a hardware issue since the "new" d drive is completely fine now. They are using the same ports they always have. Is reinstalling the OS on a thumb drive the only solution? Also not sure if this is the right subreddit for this, saw some tangentially related stuff and thought it'd be fine. If not pls direct me to where I could ask, thanks.<3
