Brand new Rolex Daytona meteorite dial. Genuine meteorite material with a natural, unique texture — every dial is different. Three-subdial (tricompax) design, silver color. Compatible with 4130 / 4131 movements.
Bezel insert markings – Under magnification, the coating on VS factory's bezel numerals has a matte/satin finish. Small factories have a glossy/smooth finish.
Bezel color transition – The red and blue boundary on VS inserts blends naturally with no visible seam. Small factory inserts are not kiln-fired as one piece, so you'll see a black or white line at the junction.
UV light test – VS one-piece kiln-fired ceramic bezel glows uniformly red under UV light (365nm).
Center pinion (hands hole) – VS uses a solid center pinion (solid axis). Small factories use a hollow cylindrical pinion, which is incorrect.
Hands finishing – Under magnification, the edges of VS hands are smoothly polished with no burrs or rough spots.
Clasp engravings – Inside the clasp, the olive-stamped logo has a flat-top "A" (no sharp point). The four-point anti-counterfeit markings are crisp and clear.
Sapphire crystal LEC – The laser-etched crown logo at 6 o'clock consists of 152 tiny laser dots (hologram). Small factories print it as a solid blob.
Movement – VS GMT uses the Dandong 3285 movement. The engraving under the balance wheel must start with "1S".
Dandong 3285 regulator – It uses a PF shock absorber (Paraflex style) with two regulator prongs pointing outward. The silver prong is on the left, the gold prong on the right.
Gloss continuity – Rotate the link. The reflective band on the chamfered surface should not show any noticeable bright‑dark fluctuation.
Edge sharpness – The boundary between the chamfer and the main surface needs to "stand up". It should feel smooth to the touch, but under light it looks like a clean, crisp line.
Curved transition – On the inside curve of a link, the chamfer must not widen or disappear. Use a small‑diameter abrasive tip to polish that area separately.

VS luminous pearl – it remains strictly within the metal bezel ring, with no overflow.
VS bezel insert scale coating – matte and grey. Small-factory versions use a glossy white finish, which is incorrect.
Hour hand center – features a "small cap" shaped axle. The edges of the hands are polished to a smooth, burr-free finish – a level of refinement small factories cannot achieve.
Sapphire crystal – at the 6 o'clock position, there is a laser-etched anti-counterfeit logo composed of 152 tiny laser dots. Small factories simply print the logo on, not using laser dots.
Dial details – the inverted triangle and the edges of the hour markers are rounded (radiused). The luminous fill sits slightly lower than the surrounding metal rims.
Inside the clasp – below the olive logo, there are four anti-counterfeit dot markers. Many factories omit this detail. Observe carefully: one dot below the O, one dot to the left of the X, and one dot on each side of the A. Also, the letter A has a flat top – other versions use a pointed-top A, which is wrong.
VS movement identification – VS Factory equips the watch with the Dandong 3235 movement. The quickest way to confirm a genuine VS watch is to check the movement serial number – it must start with "1S".
Dandong 3235 rotor and jewels – the rotor's center axle uses a 7-ball bearing, and the movement contains 27 jewels (rubies). The engravings on the rotor are finely executed, whereas small-factory engravings are too thick and inaccurate. (Note: the original Chinese text states "7 balls and 27 balls" – this is a common typo; the correct technical specification is 7 balls and 27 jewels.)
Dandong 3235 shock absorber (PF Paraflex) – the two regulator pins point outward: the silver pin is on the left, and the gold pin is on the right.
Dandong 3235 clutch wheel – behind the movement engravings, the clutch wheel appears as a shiny dot. When you pull the crown out to the time-setting position, this dot jumps (moves). In other, non-VS versions, the clutch wheel is a concave dot and does not move.

When I'm not working, I go to the beach in Shanwei and it's so relaxing!
The only downside is that the baguette was slightly over-toasted – a bit rough on the roof of the mouth 😖… but it was so damn delicious that I powered through the pain and finished every bite.
Here's how I made it:
Slice the baguette, butter it, and toast. Then layer on roasted bell peppers, a spread of cottage cheese, a handful of arugula, a lethal amount of pastrami, and a smear of balsamic glaze right in the middle of the pastrami (absolutely essential). Add another layer of cheese (mozzarella or similar works great), and finally spread basil pesto on the top half of the baguette (also non-negotiable). Pop everything back into the oven or air fryer for a few more minutes to melt everything together.
At first I skipped the balsamic glaze, and the pastrami felt a bit too salty and overwhelming. The glaze completely fixed it – it cuts through the saltiness, blends beautifully with the pesto, while the creamy cheese mellows and ties everything together. Every ingredient shines without clashing. Highly recommend, even if your palate takes a little beating.
