“Office of Tax Relief Assistance” scam??
Hi can anyone let me know if this is a scam or not? I got a missed call from (267) 399-4306 and a voicemail (sounds like a real person) that says this:
“Hi there, it's Tuesday the 2nd This is Sloane Whitaker with the Office of Tax Relief Assistance enrollment services. I'm reaching out because your file recently came across our desk for follow up review and my direct line is 202-946-8559. I wanted to make contact because if you've had missed filings, unresolved balances, penalties or received notices recently, there may still be updated 2025 and 2026 programs available that could help improve your situation. Rather than waiting for additional notices or account updates. We've opened a direct, no wait verification line. So you can quickly confirm your status, and understand what options may still be available. Please call me directly at 202-946-8559 or reach the priority department line at 888-663-0867.
