Zeus is 18 weeks (4 months) old. This is the bed I bought him when I brought him home. He really doesn't even sleep in it much. Most of the night he prefers to sleep on the hard plastic on the other side of the crate and use the edge of this bed as a pillow. This bed takes up about half of his crate. It is a donut bed so it only has an actual sleeping surface of maybe 10 inches. Now that it is starting to get cooler he might like a bed to curl up on. He just liked the hard plastic during the summer. When he first goes to bed, which is when I took this photo, he lays on his bed for a second and then moves over and scratches the plastic for about 5-20 seconds and then lays down and sleeps on the plastic for 80% of the night.

My question is, should I get a huge bed that covers the entire 48x30 inch bottom, or maybe just something that goes to 40 inches or so to give him room to scratch the floor. I am worried he will be ticked off someone covered his scratching area.

Last night, Zeus, got brave and jumped into the pool and his head went under. His vet said to clean his ears preventatively whenever he gets water in them. So I cleaned them after his bath. (Of course he rolled in the dirt after the pool :D)

Anyway, now his fur is all greasy from the ear cleaner his vet gave us. I have scrubbed his fur multiple times with TropiCleans All Purpose wipes, but they are still really greasy and feel nasty to touch.

Any suggestions on a wipe that we could use to get this off so we don't have to bathe him again? For a puppy that loves the water, he sure hates bath time.

Last night it was pouring pretty hard and my wipers felt way slower than every other car I have ever owned. I could not see. Is this normal for Mazda, or is something wrong with them? They are currently on the fastest setting.

Vet said, "He should be ok, he should throw it up on his own." We know his vet and my husband just tracked him down at a function they are both currently at. But I could use some encouragement and hugs because this mama is a nervous wreck! As you can see the section missing is about 3 inch x 3 inch right triangle from a cloth napkin. The material is cotton flannel. My youngest is going to have to not leave things on the table anymore because the puppy is tall enough to reach them now.

He is 11.5 weeks old.

I am wondering if it would be better to switch to paper towels for now because those would probably break down better in his stomach if he gets ahold of another dirty napkin.

My little guy is only 9 weeks so we are still potty training. But I have never met a dog that seems to want to eat so many dangerous things! He just indiscriminately shoves things into his mouth like it is food. He doesn't even inspect it first. So I have to walk him outside to his potty spot with a flashlight at night and meticulously watch where his mouth is at all times. How old were your dogs before you could just open the door and let them go potty or roam your back yard? (Ours is fenced in and fairly small)

My first 2 dogs were afraid of umbrellas... And then of course the evil.... Terrifying vacuum cleaners of death. I have been working to desensitize the new puppy. He is a brave little bugger so far. What other things have your grown pups shown fear of that I should introduce him to while he is being so brave and curious?

I have been playing thunder and fireworks sounds on a speaker.

He has walked right up to the full sized carpet shampooer while I was cleaning an accident. And wants to play when I use the small hand held one.

He will lay right down and ignore our robot vacuum.

He seems to like the kiddie pool so far. We are working our way up to the full sized pool.

He's heard kids screaming while we walked around the neighborhood. (He was carried since he isn't fully vaccinated)

Any other suggestions of what I might be missing?

We are picking up my sweet boy next week and I am looking for some advice for our long car ride home. We have about a 5 hour trip (depending on traffic).

I am very concerned about his potty breaks and him not being fully vaccinated. How do we pull that off if he isn't meant to touch the ground until he is fully vaccinated? I thought about taking puppy pads and putting him on that, but I hate to start that precedent since I have never potty trained using pads and I don't intend to start now. But I also don't want him to pick up Distemper or Parvo or something else.

Also, any tips on toys or entertainment I can pack for him for the car ride home that won't be too messy? I bought a Pupcicle, a puppy Kong, and a puzzle lick mat. Plus some toys. In my experience a kong filled with PB, can be messy, I am sure the puzzle mat would be as well, but I have no experience with the Pupcicle. Is the filling that you buy hard? I haven't purchased the filling for it yet.

Any other tips and tricks for the long car ride home is much appreciated.

I set out to get a big golden. I chose big parents. And then, this little guy won my heart. I picked him out a few days ago. I get to bring him home in 2 weeks. He has the spunkiest personality. But he is one of the tiniest of the litter. (About half the weight of one of his sisters)

My question is, is there a chance he will catch up size wise to his siblings, or will he always be a little on the smaller size? His dad is 85 lbs, and his mom is 75lbs. Both are a healthy weight.

This only happens with my husband's phone, but not mine. Mine is a Pixel 7 Pro. Whenever we have his phone plugged into the Android Auto it will work for a bit and then it will disconnect and this notification will show up on his screen. We have the charger turned off on my car. It only happens if the phone is down in the charging area and not in a cupholder. What "reader" is the phone asking us to hold it to?

My 2023 was purchased used and it was a rental car so this was driving me mad! I got maybe 95% of the scratches out. What is left you have to lean in close to see. It is so shiny now that you can even see how dirty my windshield is! The spot that looks like a ding in my console is actually a small splat on my windshield. A genuine review, you don't need the blue container, just the green and red. When you are done, a damp microfiber cloth works just as well as the blue stuff and the container of the blue leaks because it is so thin.

Procedure:

You use the one labeled Heavy Scratches (Green) first. It says to rub in straight lines at an angle to the deep scratches using moderate pressure. It almost dries on there kind of like light, gritty car wax, or stove top cleaner. I just kept applying small pea sized amounts to the cloth that came with it. The cloth is similar to shop towels.

When I was satisfied that the deep scratches were shallow enough, I moved on to the Light Scratch remover (Red). The light scratch remover is more of a lighter cream consistency and buffs out faster. Pretty quickly after you apply that, the plastic turns into a nice shine. You are supposed to massage this into the plastic in small circles. You honestly could be done here and skip the shine and protect and save yourself some money.

If there is any residue left in any creases you could wipe that up with a damp cloth. I did use the blue Shine and Protect because I had it. I wiped down the entire console area with it because it is also a cleaner.
