I've heard some artists ask for 50% up front and 50% after the artwork is done, and some that finish a rough sketch first then ask for full payment before proceeding. What's your preferences?

I pretty recently got into kpop (boy what have I been missing) and I'm a little overwhelmed cause I want to tackle listening to a LOT of groups, but don't know where to start. A couple artists that my friend recommended and that I love so far are Dean, Bibi, Bts, Viviz, Gfriend, and Stray Kids. Tell me any song and I'll give it a listen :D
