Hi I was looking to get into Rive a bit more (I'm a newbie but I was thinking I could use Rive for a project) I just migrated from live2d and I have some standards that came from it that I'm wondering if they can be applied in Rive?

standards:

  • PSD import with my layers in the same positions as I drew them
  • Draw order
  • Clipping (for raster)
  • Meshing (for raster but with individual points so I can deform it not just a mesh and I have to put bones on the mesh because I’ve tried it and it never worked with what I was trying to animate) )
  • Layer hierarchy and being able to parent
  • Rotation points (I’m fine with using bones for this)
  • Objects following other objects as they deform with the mesh (like a head turn where the eyes follow the head but with a separate mesh so I can make something like blinking)
  • Layers for characters and putting them on background assets

for context I'm working on a passion project: an animated film with cinematic scenes and after trying live2d there's lots of features I like but some features I didn't like that stopped me from making cinematic scenes and I'm not sure if Rive is a better program

Hi I'm a character animator and I'm trying to figure out how to add more vertices in the middle of a shape so I can deform it?

I'm using this rectangle as an example because im trying to animate a head and I want to add more points so I can make perspective of a nose in the silhouette side view, I've tried using the pen tool but it makes it as a separate path and I'm unable to actually warp the shape (the blue line is roughly where I want more points

HI i need some animation help

for context I'm planning on animating for a short film and I'm working on a simple character turnaround to get used to the program, I drew a turnaround sheet and now im struggling with figuring out how to line up the layers with the sheet. for context I draw in ibispaint X which is raster and I need to clip for shading so i decided to convert my base layers to vector. i've started on the head and the path for the head shape is in the image (i convert my layers from raster to vector in affinity)

HELPP

for context my orthodontist just put on more molar brackets at the back of my mouth behind the rings and I also noticed in the X ray those teeth weren’t fully in they were still in the gum, and now the brackets are poking at my cheek and I can’t eat or talk without it stabbing me, I can’t get wax on it and over the counter medicine doesn’t help, can someone help?

hi I'm a newbie here and I'm learning character rigging, so for storage reasons I draw certain things on one side and plan to reflect it in Rive (like this arm here) and if it was reflected across the middle of the canvas it would be on the other side of the neck (which is at the top) how do I reflect it on the X axis so its symmetrical (I just changed the X scale to -100 to flip it)
