After bravely defending the house by barking at UPS through the blinds. The boys had to rest.
Unfortunate news. Nothing has broken necessitating an upgrade.
Somehow my quest to make a 50 year old car reliable has worked so far. I’m a few months into nearly daily driving this turd. My mental list of upgrades is growing. I’m just waiting for her to give me a good reason.

I can’t even estimate how many hours I spent on this thing back in the day.
Third diffs a charm
So my quest to make my car quiet at highway speed took me down a rabbit hole.
I wanted affordable cv joints, so my R180 came out for an R200. I used the milkfab adapters and 280zxt axles. I had the R200 already from a parts car so all in I was at about $400. Would have been great except the parts car diff sang a very annoying song.
Next I did what any thrifty car guy would do and found a R200 on marketplace from a 300zx. $150 later (plus some random parts traded) and FINALLY the noise inside the car at 70mph is almost whisper quiet.
Oddly, a slight shake in the steering wheel at 70mph is also gone. I think that’s because I put in a new OEM diff mount but who knows.
Now my car has 240z, 280z, 280zx, 300zx and 240sx parts. At this point I may start swapping parts until I have something from every z car.
At least my car is short enough to leave plenty of room and not stick out.
