Does the weather affect when I should install MDF beadboard panels to prevent warping?

I live in Denver where it is very low humidity year-round. But it has been rainy for 2 days and will rain for the next 4 days before going back to dry/sunny. My beadboard panels have been sitting in the mudroom for about a week to acclimate to the room’s environment. Can I install them now or should I wait until a few days after the weather goes back to dry/sunny? I’m trying to avoid warping due to contraction/expansion. I plan to have 1/8” spacing around the panels and adhering them to the wall with construction adhesive and Brad nails.

Would you consider this repair (2nd photo) of a poorly done miter joint (1st photo) acceptable or should the pieces be recut?

Plastic wood was used to build up the joint (2nd photo = repaired joint) which was then sculpted with sandpaper. Recutting the pieces would have been more ideal/appropriate, but that would require reordering more. The build-up strip is still exposed but painted now. Batten molding can’t really be used underneath because the exposed strip narrows as you move back from the mitre toward the wall.

Is there a way to prevent beadboard wall paneling from vibrating without using construction adhesive?

When installing beadboard wall paneling (3/16” thick, 4’ x 5’ panels), is there a way to avoid using construction adhesive when attaching it to the wall so that the drywall won’t be destroyed if future homeowners want to take it down? I’ve heard the possibility of using silicone caulk almost like a rubber gasket (and then of course Brad nails) instead of construction adhesive. Does anyone have experience with this? How would the caulk ever dry/rubberize?

Is this crown molding work acceptable from a contractor?

I hired someone from Thumbtack who owns a well-reviewed business focused on home projects, remodeling, flipping, etc. to install crown molding on my kitchen cabinets. He said he had done this type of molding in at least 15 houses. This is one example of his work. The other mitre cuts are better but not great. He “finished” all of them with a mix of touch-up wax, caulk, and paint. Is this acceptable? My fiancé and neighbor immediately said, “No, that is horrible and not even to a minimum professional standard.”
