my pommie is almost a year old and I’ve had her since Febuary i started crate training in March and now she sleeps in her crate every night and i’m sad about it I feel like she doesn’t need me anymore, she’s a completely different puppy than the one i had six months ago, she went from super shy and clingy and sleeping in my bed every night to so playful and friendly to everyone, but I don’t feel like her person anymore when she’s just as happy to see my dad or grandma :(

I was leaving a evening class in downtown DC getting ready to go home but wanted to stop for food before I left, I’m a small girl, 5’4 and 110 at most and I’m always very aware of my surroundings at night, I walk with purpose, avoid eye contact, don’t talk to anyone or wear headphones and carry pepper spray. This guy almost hit me with his bike as I was walking and it spooked me a bit, he apologized and I told him it was okay and then thought that would be the end of it, he proceeded to follow me for several blocks told me he was homeless, that he had a job interview and ask me to take him to Walmart, finally a girl and her boyfriend intervened and he left. I’m still so on edge and am super glad someone stepped in. I’m definitely never walking again in that area alone if I can help it. Still feeling angry at myself for even engaging but I was kind of in shock because he came from behind me. I’ve already given up wearing dresses because it attracts too much unwanted attention :(
