What Reta did for me.

Reta was a life saver for me.

Three years ago, I was 280lbs.

I lost a bunch of weight through diet and exercise. But I was stuck at 190-200.

So I started Reta, alongside cjc/ipa, glow & mots c. In April of 2026.

I continued with my healthy eating, exercise regiment as I had already been doing.

Today, I’m down to 155lbs. I’ve gone from a size 24+ to a size 28 regular. I’ve never been so confident, I’ve never been so happy. I’m stronger then ever, I have significantly less fatigue.

I’m Hypermobile (diagnosed hEDS) with a spinal fusion, (and two other spinal surgeries) and chronic subluxations of my shoulder, hip, and knee.

My body is recovering for the first time ever.

It’s not a choice I’ll ever regret. And I hope this motivates you too.

110lbs lost. Ask me Anything.

Two kids, five surgeries to my spine, countless medications, all pushed me to a weight of a whopping 280lbs. I got fed up.

I weight train 3-5x a week, cardio 6 days a week on my peloton.

Current weight is at 167lbs!

You can do it. You can push.

Ask me anything!

I’m finally getting to join a metamorphosis challenge, joining others who have had a hard road losing weight, and walking a body building stage to show my progress. A category for people who may not be “bodybuilders” but have overcome so much, and made unbelievable progress.

I’ve included some embarrassing before and afters. 🙃

12 weeks in - 23lbs down - Ask Me Anything!

I had already been in a weight loss journey prior to starting Reta. But I was stuck sitting at 190. I have a chronic genetic condition that causes joints to just leave the chat and I never thought after two kids, medications, and dislocations weekly, I’d ever get anywhere.

(SW in 2023 of 280)

I finally decided to get onto Reta, along with GLOW & a CJC/IPA blend.

I weight train 3-5x a week, cardio 6 days a week on my peloton.

Current weight is at 167lbs!

You can do it. You can push.

Ask me anything! *edit to add. Yall are so silly. I love it, thanks for the giggles tonight.

It’s not always about the lbs.

It’s not always in the lbs.

I’ve been feeling kind of stagnant lately.

2mg every 5 days, plus a couple others in my stack. Weight train 3-5x a week and stay in a deficit.

I’ve lost a lot of weight. (SW: 280, CW: 175) but I’ve been stuck at the 175 for two weeks.

Decided to go try on some jeans because mine were feeling loose, even though I just bought them.

For reference, at my heaviest, I was a size 24 in plus/extended sizing.

A few of weeks ago, I bought size 32s in regular sizing, which is still an accomplishment. With them feeling baggy, I thought oh, maybe I can go to a 30.

I’m so excited, I finally fit a size 28! Same style of jean I bought just a few weeks ago.

Although the scale hasn’t moved much… the inches have.

I see so many people on here worried about the lbs not moving, but maybe the inches are. ❤️

Photo comparison of the size 20+ I would have fit just two years ago to the 28 standard sizing I now finally fit.

My Reta Update loop

Well, I guess this is my first Reddit post.

I’m now 6 weeks on Reta, paired with GLOW & CJC.

I’d already lost 70lbs through diet and exercise, but hit a wall. Decided, hey, let’s take the next step.

Here’s what I can tell you so far

I started at .5 every 5 days, for two doses, then 1mg for the last 3.

I’ve noticed;
My face already slimming down.
Less cravings, reduced appetite.
Very little nausea/heartburn
Definitely craving more water & I can’t stop peeing 😂
I was diagnosed with reactive hypoglycaemia, I have not had a low incident in over two weeks. (I wear a Libre Glucose Monitor)

So far I’m down 8lbs, but paired with my heavy weightlifting program I didn’t expect to see massive weight drops.

If you’ve been struggling to see results or with side effects;

My personal trainer also uses Reta, and has given me a lot of great advice.

#1 you need to exercise if you want to see the biggest change.

#2 drink your damn water

#3 low and slow - I’ve had almost no side effects to titrating slowly.

#4 protein and carbs. Do NOT completely cut carbs out, and get your dang protein in. Even if it’s shakes (shoutout to premier protein for carrying my protein goal right now)
