CST Questions from an Oldie

2020 Grad, and 2019 CST. Really just curious, how's camp these days? It seems so much has changed and just curious. It sounds like a lot more drops on fitness, and what's this whole grading system??

Also, don't sell yourselves short on camp. I hated CST at ft. Knox more than I hated Ranger School. It was a combo of the heat at Ft. Knox(which i was a summer ranger), the BS of CST, and it was fast paced between the field, rucks, gas chamber, the stress of thinking about your future, fighting for a high OML, etc. Camp was still a challenge, no reason to fail it, but don't sell it short. Heat cats are no joke, i've seen plenty fo dudes in better shape than me go down at CST and Ranger school, sometimes, people just have a bad day.

Why I joined

My whole life, I wanted nothing else but to become an army officer. I ran cross country not because I liked running, but because I had larger goals.

This year I REFRAD from the Army and I came to realize something — I joined the army because I loved America, I left the Army because I did not love the Army. Both hold true still. Proud of my service and the opportunity to lead soldiers and make something bigger of myself, contribute to a greater cause. But often times, I realize, those who stay, it seems, they’re not even sure why they stay.

Why did you decide to leave?

Not going well

One month of trying. San Diego to New York.

Both Amerifrieght and Sherpa have been completley unable to move our car. Terrible communication from both btw. What's up?

I don't know if this is venting or us asking for help.

Two weeks ago, I booked with Amerifreight to move our car from san diego to CT. Theygave us a quote of $1350. Today, they have come back with 4 quotes all over $2300.

I understand the geopolitical and energy environment. But oil proces were not much lower two weeks ago.

I feel like they deliberatley gave us misleading quotes and wasted our time when this was of the essence for us. The communication from them was nonexistent.

What should we do? Is this normal? Is this normal for amerifrieght? Is this just normal for the moment with oil prices where they are? Could anyone out there actually beat that price under current market conditions?

Final Quote from Amerifrieght came in 70% more expensive and almost a week late from original pick up. Communication has been awful.

Moving a 2023 ford mach e from san diego to CT. What's going on? Is this normal in the business? Is this normal for Amerifreight? Do I accept that? Or do I try somewhere else?

Help

Contracted Amerifrieght over two weeks ago to ship our car tomorrow. There has been zero communication from them.

I called yesterday, they said they’d have something by end of day. I called today, they’re saying I should have booked with multiple brokers. Time or of the essence.

What do I do? Why is Amerifrieght unable to deliver?
