HOA says they can't do anything about noisy neighbors
I know the rep that HOA's have. I'm aware how evil and uptight they are. My HOA, however, refuses to act when I bring them an issue I'm experiencing.
I've written about my neighbors in neighborsfromhell subreddit. Crazy college parties, big semitruck, etc.
I have these other neighbors who play loud music for several hours every day. They basically live in their garage and the rest of the house is just for sleeping (probably). The music is objectively too loud. If I can hear it inside my house with the windows closed, I consider that disturbing my peace. If it happened ocassionally, I would tolerate it, but it's every single day now. There are other issues I have with these neighbors. A woman from this house came to our house and knocked so hard it felt like she was gonna knock down the door. That's another story I don't wanna get into, but the point is that these people can't be reasoned with. I've asked them to lower the music before, but after the incident with the lady, I afraid of even stepping out of my house.
I made the HOA aware of that situation with the lady and I also told them about the noise, but their response was "let's see what happens and we'll go from there."
But I'm the one that has to live through this every day. What can I do so the HOA acts? Send a letter, give them a phone call, fine them or something!
The community manual says that conduct like the one displayed by neighbor goes against the code of conduct. Any helpful advice?
