I’m a newly qualified doctor from Europe and I am looking for a new adventure. I am planning to move abroad within the next 1–2 years.
I’d really appreciate any advice or shared experiences from those who’ve done something similar.
Norway
Excellent work–life balance
Very good salary and well organized healthcare system. Worked there before I really liked iitttt
Smaller Muslim community, which may make it feel isolating at times
Ireland
English speaking and culturally easier to adapt to
I already have family there, which is a big advantage for me
Concerned about the housing crisis
Also unsure how competitive it is to secure SHO-level jobs
Australia / New Zealand
Good weather
But the process seems complicated with exams and visa sponsorship
Likely starting in rural areas before moving to cities and a bit too anxious since it is far away.
