Hey everyone,
I wanted to check if anyone here has gone through a similar situation and could share some advice or experience.
I recently got selected internally for an L4 Area Manager role in the US (new launch site), but I’m still waiting for the official offer letter and immigration/relocation details.
My situation is a bit complicated because:
• I’m currently based in Canada
• I’m a Canadian citizen
• I’m getting married in July
• Marriage certificate may take around 4–6 weeks after marriage
• My spouse is currently on a work permit in Canada
• Her PR is approved but PR card/process is still pending
Right now I’m trying to understand:
• How Amazon usually handles Canada → US internal transfers
• TN vs L1 experiences
• Relocation support timelines
• Whether people moved first and had spouse join later
• How flexible launch sites are with start dates
• Any hidden things I should prepare for before accepting
If anyone has gone through something similar or has experience with Amazon internal international moves, I’d really appreciate any guidance or things I should watch out for.
