My C107 350 SLC

A couple of new-ish pics of my 1973 SL Coupe.

I have also done a write-up on the C107 over at substack if anyones interested. It is free, and I am just doing it for fun.

[Ferrari F12 Berlinetta] spotted in Chamonix

I stumbled upon this beauty when visiting Chamonix-mont-blanc the other week.

This is definitely not something that I see every day.

Update, more pictures of the car, and possible future

First, the pics from the other say shows much more of the car.

The initial plan is to refresh the cars vital parts with new parts. And then some new bits inside.
So it looks original and used, but refurbished chassi/suspenshion/steering.

And Plan B with the car, if the condition runs away from me and bigger things have to be made. A rendition of that is also attached. Think Porsche Outlaw-ish, but with a Mercedes.

What do you think?

My midlife crisis project

I guess it was inevitable? I found this one for sale at a reasonable price just a mile away and a couple of hours later i had myseld a project car for the first time in 20ish years, just in time for the midlife crisis to go in to overdrive.

Anyway, here are some random shots of my Mercedes-Benz SLC 350 1973.

So far, I have fixed the rear brakes, interior lighting, instrument lighting, changed steering wheel, yellow light bulbs, new speakers up front and added some bits and pieces to the interior.

The plan is to either restore it to a somewhat original state, except for lower springs in the front and the steering wheel. Or go completely over board and build a street racer out of it.

Oldtimer seen at Aurora Concours

I saw this stunner at The Aurora Concours in Båstad Sweden a few weeks ago.
Definitely not something I see on the regular.

Some shots of my latest obsession. A 1973 SLC 350

I have always loved classic MBs, and when this particular one became available just about a mile or so away, I had to have it.

Not perfect in any way, but this will be a slow renovation while keeping it on the road.
