Rolls-Royce Cullinan with a single-letter “M” plate spotted on the M1

Spotted this Rolls-Royce Cullinan on the M1 yesterday with what looks like a single-letter “M” registration plate. Pretty cool spot — definitely not something you see every day!

I tried putting the plate through a UK vehicle check but nothing comes up, so I’m thinking it could possibly be a foreign number plate.

Anyone know where this plate might be from or anything about it? Would be interesting to know the story behind it.

EDIT: Mystery solved!
Turns out it’s a Gibraltar “G-less” personalised registration. Gibraltar recently introduced plates without the usual “G” prefix, with single-letter registrations priced at £50,000. (Government of Gibraltar)

Earlier this year Yianny posted a video about these Gibraltar plates and M was actually one of the £50k plates shown.

Even better, someone in the comments found an Instagram post from Gibraltar Plates showing the exact same black Rolls-Royce Cullinan with the newly purchased “M” registration in Gibraltar. So it looks like I’ve now randomly spotted the same car over here on the M1

Pretty cool seeing a plate like that out in the wild.

Performance discussion meeting with partner at Big 4 – should I be concerned?

I work at KPMG in the UK (technology division) and recently received an email from a performance leader saying I would be invited to a discussion about my performance with a partner. The email said the meeting should be prioritised and is scheduled for next week.

Some context:
- I received a lower performance rating last year (4) , but that was largely due to spending around half of last year on the bench without a client engagement.
- Since then, I’ve been fully utilised on client work.
- Feedback from my recent projects has been positive.
- I haven’t had any formal performance concerns raised with me.
- I spoke to my current PM and he said he wasn’t aware of the meeting and doesn’t know what it’s about.

The meeting invite appears to be with the partner only, with no HR representative included.
Has anyone in consulting or a Big 4 firm had a similar meeting? Was it a standard performance discussion, the start of a performance improvement process, redundancy-related, or something else?

Interested to hear about others’ experiences.
