Hi everyone! I am in need of a vacuum as I am moving out for the first time! Our floors will be hardwood, with some rugs in the home. I have a long haired cat who does a copious amount of shedding. My budget is between 200-300.

At my parent's home, they have a dyson, but I find the battery looses battery too quickly. I have tried a cordless Shark too, when I clean my grandmother's home, but I also find that it trails dust very easily and does not seem all that good in cleaning.

I have looked through the subreddit and seen some reccomendations for a Kenmore, but I'm not entirely certain which model would fit best. I have seen most people on this subreddit love miele or serbo, but they seem out of my price range.

What do you all reccomend?
