I haven’t operated heavy equipment in a while, since 2023. I’m confident in being able to pick it back up but the place I applied to loved my resume and wants to bring me in as a journeyman. Great! But what happens if I join as a journeyman and takes me a few days to pick it back up? Do they expect me to be damn near perfect when I join?
Got this when I was 21 and I hate it SO much. Had an artist approach me in a shop and say it’s a design he came up with and is looking to do it for a discount. Me being young and dumb, I told him I would do it. He didn’t ask me directly, but I offered myself up. Again, I realize how big of a mistake it was right after. I’ve never had so much regret in my life. I hate taking my shirt off now. I have three kids and I don’t want my kids asking “who is that” while my wife is right here.
Anyway, I’m looking for an angel sitting on the ark of the covenant. Little bit different than what the ark is traditionally, something I like though. Maybe something Indiana Jones-ish, without it being all Indiana Jones.
Experts: Is it ready for a cover-up? Will that be a good design? I talked to an artist and he said yes, but it looks a little dark yet. I’ve had 5 laser sessions with a pretty solid guy.
Hey all, I have a few questions regarding local 49ers (minnesota). Asphalt oiler position opened up, I applied and spoke with someone over the phone. I’ve never been in a union before, so I’m very lost. He told me I would skip the apprenticeship because of my work history. What does that mean? Higher pay? Are coworkers going to not like me right off the bat? Also, what about pay? He said $48.50 would be the pay but take into account union dues and such. What are those? What else comes out of a paycheck? We have health insurance already, if they pay for health insurance do I need to use theirs? Thanks all.
