Hey guys!

Today I received a used sigma 16-28 f2.8 in 9- condition from Wex. I tested the lens and all seemed good however the lens was still at firmware 1.0.

I went to update it and made sure i had my lumix s5iix plugged into a dummy battery, my camera firmware updated and cards formatted. Every time i tried to update it, the camera would recognise the firmware and the loading screen would come up but it would just infinitely sit there without the bar moving just the buffer animation going round and round.

Has anyone else had this issue? And if so have any advice on how to fix it?

Hey everyone!

I am looking at getting the Ef 17-40mm f4 for adapted full frame mirrorless video due to it being sooo incredibly cheap. I was wandering if anyone had video experience with it and would share their opinions on all aspects of the lens (good and bad). I’d also be interested to hear about autofocus performance considering how old it is and also i hear it’s par-focal but don’t know if thats true?

Please bear in mind I am an amateur filmmaker that makes narrative films and this isn’t something I do for money :)
