Not sure if any of you have been following this 'dog feces' dispute where the man finally shot the perpetrators as he was at his breaking point.

Here is an article about the trial. I have known about him since it happened. I've always felt sorry for him. I haven't researched what finally happened to him after trial. https://houston.culturemap.com/news/city-life/01-08-14-murders-in-dog-poop-dispute-complicated-by-race-language-barrier-and-civil-behavior-1

Don't you just so very much dislike these people who ride around with their vehicle windows open and

have a dog in there or two that are just barking their horrid buttocks off out the windows which makes you hear it as they are driving by your house amplified? As if I didn't have ENOUGH neighbors whose dogs disturb my thinking, my sleep, my life, my peace of mind on a daily basis and many times per day! I'm sure since they have no brain they think it is cute as everyone must love 'doggo'!

The pet industry makes sure to brainwash the television viewing public by spending a LOT of money for ads to have the average person 'hooked'.

The U.S. pet industry reached $158 billion in total spending in 2025 and is projected to scale to $165 billion by the end of 2026. Television commercials act as a massive economic catalyst, accelerating this market value through highly targeted, emotionally driven campaigns. The pet industry spends phenomenal amounts of money to make sure this market keeps growing. This continuous exposure boosts consumer spending on premium consumables, turning specialized pet care into a multi-billion-dollar market.

I told a friend the other day (who was talking about the new dog he just got and, of course, had to show me a photo of it on his phone!)

I have never seen this man with a partner and was telling him he should try to find a human to be a companion to and a companion with. He (as all dog nutters do) tells me he could not deal with a 'real' human friend and prefers dogs. So I told him "I know! Get a deaf and dumb partner!! Then, like the dogs you love, will not be able to understand you, nor chastise you for anything you might be doing 'wrong', etc. I thought it was pretty funny! Yeah, if you just want adoring eyes all the time without any kind of judgment at all, fall in love with a person who cannot hear nor speak! (They need love too by the way!)

Dahlia Tubers for Sale (I still have many!) There are not coded for color and I have quite a variety.

$3 for small tubers with growth showing and $7 per clump with green leaves already sprouting. Near Montford Park and UNCA. I also have fat clumps and green leaves for $10 each.

Unusual antique object I've had for 30 years wondering what it is! It is a piece of nice wood with two different ends.

It seems to have been made with a nice hardwood. The width of the wood is 1.5" and the length of just the wood is 17.5". There are two different types of ends on it. And, of course the wood does not bend so those end things are for something else. I did try to look it up online and nothing remotely resembling it at all!

Wondering what this metal antique item was used for? I have had it over 30 years and still wondering! It was old when I got it.

The size of the rectangular part is 14" x 9.5" approximately. I have tried google lens without any luck.
