Door wont lock anymore

Recently my 2002 320i sedan’s door lock has been acting funny, locking fine but having to re-lock and unlock it a few times to get the driver side lock unlocked. Ive been using the blade since the fob is dead.

Anyway, all of a sudden yesterday when i turn the key left on the door to lock the key just wont turn. Turning right to unlock works fine but left is like hitting a wall.

I took the door panel off to see of theres a jam somewhere but the airbag seems to be in the way so i didnt bother messing with it.

Locking from the button inside and automatic locking when driving works fine, its just the outside lock that doesnt work.

My question is that is this obviously a specific or a common problem? Whats the component causing the issue here?

I recently bought an RHD 2002 bmw e46 320i and can’t figure out why the front right corner of the car is sitting higher.

The car came with winter tires and i didn’t notice anything off at first other than a little pulling to the right but after installing bigger summer wheels the pulling became very noticeable. I first thought it must be an alignment issue but after roughly checking out the alignment by eye it doesnt seem off so much that the pulling would be so aggressive.

When looking from the front i can also see the front right wheel has a very noticeable positive camber compared to every other wheel in addition to having like 1-2 cm larger gap between the fender and tire.

I read somewhere that this could be on purpose from the factory to offset driver weight but would the camber difference also be noticeable?

I took the front wheels off to compare both sides but both shocks and springs are the same height. I didnt see any deformations or cracks in the subframe or control arms from a quick inspection and they seem healthy but could still be slightly bent for all i know.

Im wondering what steps should i take to try and find the issue and is this something common?
