🔥 Hot ▲ 5.8k r/Deltarune

Hot Take: I respect Toby's decision to keep Deltarune going beyond the original ending, but I feel like the game just hasn't been hitting as hard from Season 3 onward.

I absolutely HATE WD Gaster

Specifically in the context of Deltarune Theories.

Undertale's Gaster is a fun, interesting, and ultimately inconsequential easter egg. You can play the entire game from beginning to end multiple times without ever even suspecting that he exists. For those that do manage to stumble upon him, however, he lends the lore an added sense of intrigue and depth.

The thing that makes him at all interesting is how he's implemented. He has little to no character or personality of his own. Just an ominous creepypasta vibe.

Which is why is drives me up the WALL that damn near every theory you can find on Deltarune assumes as a given that the entire game's story will ultimately revolve around this fucking nerd as the primary antagonist.

I understand that it's a petty thing to get worked up about, but I'm sick of such an uninteresting character getting pushed at the expense of everything that Deltarune has actually firmly established up until now. Maybe there's some context that I'm missing, maybe I'm being unreasonable, maybe this ages hilariously 24 hours from now. I'm just frustrated and felt the need to get this off my chest before Chapter 5 came out.

Whitney and her partner are the talk of the town thanks to her new Sygna Suit, but she's also drawn the attention of a jealous little Pokemon.

Whitney is showing off her new Sygna Suit alongside Jasmine, but a wild Meowth seems to be pestering them wherever they go. Whitney is furious at the little menace, but Jasmine eventually realizes that the Pokemon is just jealous of all of the attention Whitney's Skitty is getting and agrees to take it in as her own. The event ends with the two gym leaders showing off their Sygna Suits together.

If The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was published this year, then the MGM movie wouldn't come out until 2065; Wicked wouldn't premiere until 2129.

Mission Start! Protect the Shining Egg

An old friend of Kellyn's comes to Pasio carrying a strange egg, drawing the attention of the island's villains. It's up to Kellyn and Kate to keep the egg safe while trying to learn more about it.

Protecting Nature, Past and Present

While studying at Pasio Academy, Kellyn changes back into his old school uniform. He and Barlow start reminiscing about his first days of training in Vientown. Overhearing the two discussing the Rangers' training course, Zisu approaches and challenges them both to undergo the Security Corps' training.

Welcome to Outdoor Class!

Gardenia is having trouble drawing out her Tangrowth's full potential, so Kate invites her to attend Alder's class, inspired by the Outdoor Classes at Ranger School.

A Wicked Substitute

Kincaid approaches Kellyn and Kate at the academy, claiming that he wants to go back to being a teacher. The rangers are hesitant to believe him, but agree to give him a chance. Kincaid serves as a substitute teacher for Mr. Jacq's class, with Giacomo as his assistant.
