Curious about how rare/common this medal is, how much might it be worth? How to tell an original from a replica?

Little back story about the aircraft:
In 1989, the East German airline Interflug decided to donate one of its Il-62 jets to the municipality of Stölln. The aircraft was to serve as a memorial to the aviation and gliding pioneer Otto Lilienthal, who flew and tragically died on the nearby Gollenberg hill in the late 19th century. Because disassembling the massive jet, transporting it by road, and reassembling it was financially prohibitive, officials decided to land the plane directly in the field. However, an Il-62 requires a paved runway of at least 2,500 meters to land, whereas the Stölln grass strip was only about 850–900 meters long.
The Aircraft still sits on the field as a museum, great model and tribute to an airline long gone!
