I recently started a collection of model planes and what better way to start than with one straight from KRISSHOP. This is 9V-SKZ at a 1:400 scale. I also purchased the SQ x Paddington Bear luggage tag and a pack of travel sprays but I can only include one photo.
It’s a really detailed diecast model, however I do wish the base was a little bit sturdier as plastic feels a bit too flimsy for my liking, nonetheless, it’s a start and I will hopefully be purchasing a QR A380 from their Travel Boutique in Doha later this year.
I have a large collection of Gemini jets models. When I started the collection many years ago, my intention was to stick with one model maker, and that was Gemini jets. There are many 1:200 models that I want that Gemini just does not produce yet.
If I were to switch to another model maker and put those with my current Gemini jets collection, would you be able to tell a difference? I’m not sure if that’s a common thing or not, but would be curious on thoughts of doing this or if I should just stick with my one maker only?
Hi, a friend and I have started a scale model project; we’ve already laid down the tarmac and grass, and now we’d like to buy the gates—and a few model planes would be nice too. However, since we’re working at a 1:500 scale and mostly buying Herpa products, this could turn into an expensive hobby. I was wondering where the best place is to get these items. Got this lovely aircraft, a B787-9 in the Riyadh Air livery from Aether model, a new company in the 1:500 scale. Aircraft is stunning, so many details and beautiful print. Definitely worth the price.
I’m curious if anyone else has had any issues with diecastairplanestore.com . I’ve had a few orders on pre-order for about 5 months now and everytime I’ve contacted them to get an update they would always respond with “at the end of this month” but they’ve said that for the past 3-4 months now, when I usually inquire about once a month. Though a few models do have legitimate in stock dates so I’m not too worried. I really want to give them the benefit of the doubt but I’m just confused when other retailers seem to have the same models in stock and ready to ship as soon as the order is placed. Should I try asking for an order cancelation, or should I just keep waiting to see how long it goes on for?
Gemini Jets is doing themselves a disservice not putting this model in 1:200. I know Gemini has mixed bag reviews on their molds but I think they hit it out of the park with their 727's in 1:200.
How are sq models for quality to the listed price.

This is just for the layout, the ground textures are from my old airport, does this look good! The A350 (etihad) and the B737 Max 8 can pushback in a straight line without hitting another plane, just so you know.IDK where to put the cargo terminal… edit: the legs wide body stands are all MARS
My local shop has a Cathay Pacific B777-300er in both Aviation400 and JC Wings, but I genuinely can't tell the difference on which has the best mould. The price difference for the two is not too big either but I'm asking for your opinion on which is the best out of the two.
