Domestic flights in the Triple are actually really fun!

Quick hop from Heathrow to Glasgow in the 772! A busy flight with a fun approach.

Fun Fact: this aircraft, F-OMAY, a Boeing 777-200ER named « Caribou » ( means « Welcome » in Mahoran), performed one of the longest ever passenger flights on May 23, 2005, when it flew from the Boeing factory in Seattle to Air Austral’s base in La Réunion.
Flight time: 19 hours and 14 minutes.

This was a very fun flight! Two hours of island hopping which ended in a challenging RNAV approach into Dzaoudzi’s runway 16, overflying mountainous terrain (don’t forget to press the GPWS override switch or you’ll get screamed at on short final xD) and touching down on the 1000 footers with less than 2000 meters of runway ahead, which the RAAS doesn’t hesitate to warn you about with it’s charming voice (i.e: 🗣️ CAUTION SHORT RUNWAY). Thankfully full reverse and max autobrakes are there to save the day even with a 200 ton high density configuration 777.

Anyways I highly recommend Dzaoudzi (FMCZ) if you haven’t tried it yet!

Safe skies ✈️

Logged my third flight in the beast: Paris CDG (LFPG) to Cairo (HECA) - AF570 - 3h40 (yeah the CI was high lol)

  1. Flying above the clouds over the Adriatic Sea along the beautiful coastline of Croatia and Montenegro
  2. (A bit earlier) Flying right over Venice! Italy is gorgeous even at FL390
  3. Beautiful Croatian mountains
  4. Breathtaking sunset above the Mediterranean. This shot actually reminds me of a flight I took in 2019, also on a 777
  5. Damn Boeing really know how to make cozy cockpits. Airbus should take notes. Turn on the foot heaters and you’ll feel right at home!
  6. Parked in Cairo. Time to cool down
  7. Unloading the catering
  8. Love that mismatched nose
  9. Parked and secured for the night!

Bonus pic: pushing back from Terminal 2E at CDG
