What's everyone's consensus on the F90 M5?

So I'm strongly considering buying one of these. Been doing lots of homework and curious what this community thinks. Im told the S63 isnt great, just okay in terms of reliability. Makes great power but has problems with heat.

Im aware of the coolant expansion tank issue, anything else major to consider? Any past or present owners have any thoughts about the car? I plan to buy a 3rd party warranty, anyone have suggestions on which company or estimate how much per year for maintenence? Is the comp worth it over the base? Pre LCI or post LCI? (Sorry for 20 questions).

Thanks all!

Life expectancy

Hey all, curious what we think. I was told by someone that Magnum only expects Eagles to last 400-500 rounds. Is there any truth to this? I dont think there is, but I'm curious if anyone has heard of these pistols being prone to breaking down the line.

Hey all, saw a similar post earlier and figured Id do a write up.

Been shopping for about a year casually looking for what I might want sometime soon. Finally in the position in my life where I can swing a decently nice car.

As the title says this is purely a fun car. Not for commuting. Id like to find something with relatively low miles and keep it nice. Budgeting 50k-60k. Curious what this sub will say.

Currently have 3 that I am primarily watching: 19+ ZL1 Camaro, F10 M5, Mk 8 Golf R.

Here is what I am looking for:

- Preferred V8. Open to other configurations but I'm really leaning in to a V8.

- Forced induction of some kind. Love the noise. Would really like a supercharged powerplant but won't complain either way.

- Well equipped. Wanting something with a good amount of features. Ventilated seats are huge on my list, as well as a reverse camera. Adaptive cruise would be nice but not super important.

- Manual strongly preferred. Open to auto but prefer manual, kinda depends on the model. In the F10 M5 I would honestly prefer a DCT (helps that my wife could drive it if its an auto).

- Reliable. This is kind of a no-brainer but would prefer it to be a stout platform. Id like to own the car for a long-long time, so something with decent dealer / parts support + being well engineered is almost a must (not interested in a Jaguar, for example).

These aren't necessarily strict "musts" (save for maybe reliability), but more a general idea of what Id like. I've considered Mopar but really dont like the stigma around them (plus I feel like Stellantis products are manufactured like fisher price toys). Open to have my mind changed though.

Appreciate any responses. Thanks everyone.
