i’ve had it for over a year now and it’s been fine but i’ve been in a deep depression and i haven’t cleaned it with saline spray for literal months like maybe longer than 4 months, also yes im aware the gem for the top part of the dermal is missing. i know im a dumbass for that but that’s besides the point. i pressed on the surrounding area of the piercing yesterday in the shower and a bit of very lightly colored with a SLIGHT tint of green pus came out (the fifth photo is of it yesterday) so it’s clearly infected, and the surrounding skin of the dermal is very raised and red like pretty much at the same height of where the top of the dermal is. im not sure if i should go to the er for meds or if i should have a piercer evaluate it and take it out or raise the bar perhaps to avoid the skin from potentially growing over. im just really scared and dont want to have to get it removed. what would you say the best course of action is?
