I feel bad for this one woman. (Kinda? spoilers for a background character of Mermaid Mask)

Yes, I know her apparent fate by the end of the Mermaid Mask, but still, what are the chances that Felicia Stonetop is connected in some way to both of the victims of the last two cases.

One of them was her daughter Freya, in which she has an unknown relationship with

The other is her close friend Magnus (who in my opinion had only a one-sided love towards her, I don't think it was mutual. Could be wrong though)

They both also dreamed/had nightmares of the same red and black thing before they died.

Part of me wonders if the next victim will somehow be Damian dusk, even if he is apparently dead already by tangle tower, just to really screw her over. I'm curious if I'm looking too deep into it, or if she was somehow cursed by the mermaid ever since she talked to her. That might explain the shared nightmares the two victims had, maybe she was cursed for everyone close to her to meet an unfortunate fate.

I realize it probably doesn't make that much sense, but I'm just having fun theorizing about this series. There's so many cool secrets and references in the background going on, and I can find myself smiling when I put some pieces together that the characters don't say out loud.

It does make me almost a little sad that they've chosen a model where you don't actually need to play the previous games, as much as it's better for newcomers, just because it means we won't really ever get much elaboration on the previous victims and so on besides a wink and a knowing nod so nobody gets spoiled or feels lost.

Anybody else kinda want Remielle to be partially supportive/off field instead of full DPS like the other VH/VH Adjacent?

(This is partially based on the leak that she potentially has a new element called "Lumen" since I'm not sure if that's been disproved yet)

When I say support, I don't mean an "EX every 30 seconds" character, or even less with someone like Astra who you basically never see during gameplay. I was thinking more of someone who has supportive capabilities, either through off field shenanigans or buffs/debuffs, filling up some sort of bar. Then when the bar is filled, you switch her on-field and bring lots of flashy effects and damage.

I've noticed that all the current VH have been on field main DPS, who mostly play with the same team, besides Miyabi. My hope for Remielle with this theoretical unique element, is that it's a "decent against everything" element, where she's never weak into any element, but she's not overly strong against them.

My hope for this design is that it will allow you to kinda slot her into many teams, since she'll do her supportive stuff irrelevant of the team, and then her element will allow her to be swapped in to also add a chunk of the teams DPS without ever being bad against it. This means that we'll be able to use Remielle in many more situations, which in my mind would be great, since currently it's rough when I can't use my favorites in certain endgame rotations because of bad match-ups.

I'm aware this might be an unpopular opinion, but I just thought this would give her a more interesting playstyle/gameplay identity compared to some other characters. I'm also a pretty casual player, so I'm not sure if this theoretical kit would even work out, so feel free to let me know.

Either way, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

If your argument FOR or AGAINST the new design involves there being a "lore reason", then that's not a good argument

Not trying to start yet another big debate about her design, but I just want to point something out to the multiple comments I'm seeing that are either justifying the new design claiming that the upcoming story will explain it, or people arguing against it using existing lore

HOYO MAKES THE DAMN LORE

Whatever the lore says doesn't matter because they can and have made changes to suit whatever they want to explain next

If they wanted her to suddenly be a massive mech, they'd make the next story be about how she's basically immobile and needs a mech to fight

If they wanted her to be a boy, they'd explain that's how she's been remade or something

No matter what changes they want, they can just add some new story points to justify it

I'm not trying to invalidate either side here, you're welcome to like or dislike the new changes, but please stop referencing something from existing or potentially upcoming lore as a justification for your argument, because none of that is set in stone, and can be changed to suit whatever Hoyo as a company wants

How was the latest story chapter?

I’ve been away for a while so I haven’t been able to play the new update, I’m just curious how well the new story was done and everybody’s various thoughts on it?
I don’t care about spoilers so feel free to mention whatever about it whether you liked it or not, I’m just curious

(DISCLAIMER, I haven't completely caught up to story because I've been busy so if it's already explained/she already switched in-game feel free to call me an idiot and move on)

Not trying to start a debate, but I'm just curious if there's any explanation for her white outfit since I won't lie that the reason I got interested in Remielle was her black outfit+mask I first saw her in, so I was a little sad to see her wearing a different white outfit in the teaser (no shame to fans of the white outfit, I myself just prefer the black)

I was wondering if there was any news, leak or something about the change, such as if one will be a skin, or if she will have dual-forms in gameplay, or if she's just completely switched

Obviously it's very early so I don't expect many actual details but any speculation from you guys would be appreciated as well
