This is NO BS Post. I'll keep everything to the point.

I have been noticing a lot of students who are not part of any IISER institution. Still spreading misinformation regarding and cribing why IISER has B.Tech? IISERB B.Tech is research oriented and blah blah.

1. Outline

IISER Bhopal offers B.Tech in following discipline

- B.Tech in CSE

- B.Tech in DSE

- B.Tech in ECE

- B.Tech in Chemical Engineering

(These courses are no different from any other engineering colleges, I have attached Course Structure for reference)

2. Placement Stats

We do have active Placement cell. And, Placement are not that great. But, expected to grow. I have attached Placement Brochure for 2024-25 for reference.

Some of our past recruiters are Amazon, Morgan Stanely, Siemens, ONGC, Dr. REDDY Labs, Infosys, Tata Trust, TCS, Nomura, BYJU's, Atotech, SBI, IDBI Bank, PNB.

3. Pursuing B.Tech from Research College??

This is not a downside, but a plus point. If you see other engineering college, you have standard degree. But, here we have engineering research labs, and you get opportunities to actively apply what you learn, unlike other colleges.

And, in your 6th Semester, you'll have B.S. Project Work - 1 (to give you idea how research will look in engineering). And, if you don't want to take research you can choose elective (open or departmental) for B.Tech student.

6. Fest and activities

AAROHAN (Annual Tech and Cultural fest of IISER Bhopal, earlier it was called ENTHUZIA)

We have Cultural Council aka CULT.

They have their own fest and organize regular events and organize classes and sessions on singing, dancing. And participate in IICM.

That's it. And, to all juniors who are insecure about their iiser seats that jee guys will take their seat and opportunity. Then, study and prepare for it. Do you think you are any lesser than them. Don't sit and crib about it.
