Aridlands plant mail

I think the Gasteria thunbergii might instead be carinata var. verrucosa. The plant I received as G. doreeniae (last pic) is drastically different from the listing😂 It does have smooth leaves, but it’s so dehydrated that I’m not confident in identifying it. It actually had an old flower stalk, too. Still a pretty plant

ID:

G. glomerata

G. armstrongii

G. thunbergii(?)

G. bicolor var. liliputana

G. doreeniae(?)

~2 years in my care

The hobbyist I bought this from originally grew it in organics. It has since grown in 100% grit. Not the plumpest it could be atm

ID?

I bought a similar plant from Aridlands labeled as Gasteria doreeniae, but it doesn’t resemble the species based on what I’ve seen online. Does anyone know what it actually is?

I know Aridlands is notorious for mislabeling plants, so I’m not surprised. I could be mistaken though

My luckiest find

Echeveria magnifica

Any care tips are much appreciated! Likely will never find this plant again, so I definitely don’t want to kill it 😅

Echeveria xichuensis

This species and eurychlamys are so difficult for me to grow. I don’t water this plant often but when I do, it always gets scarring from edema. I wait until it looks visibly dehydrated, but this plant isn’t well rooted, so that’s likely why… I might pot it in promix like my eurychlamys is in, to encourage roots and later repot it in full grit. I love it, nevertheless 😊

Growth progress + question

I apologize for the double post. I have wanted to share my haws for a while, but they’ve looked sad for months until recently.

Most of these were bought last year besides the Haworthiopsis koelmaniorum (imported March 2026). Is the Tulista pumila etiolating (inconsistent leaf size) or do they normally grow like that?

Some clumps

I finally eradicated 🤞 armored scale from my collection and all have since perked back up 🥹

Some hybrids

E. ‘Snow Bunny’

2-year time difference. This is my favorite lilacina hybrid in my collection. The most recent photos were taken in April. I need to trim the roots and repot this plant

E. ‘Fantastic Fountain’

I have wanted this hybrid for four years!! It’s still acclimating, but I can’t wait to watch it mature! Its growth habit reminds me of Haworthiopsis spp.

Etsy finds

I love the tubercles on these guys! Also finally got around to top dressing all of my Gasterias

ID help

Big box store find. I’m hoping it is now big enough to be identified. It stresses red along the leaf edges. I was thinking it could be either harmsii or pulvinata.

u/Imaginary-Ad3836 — 26 days ago

E. tolimanensis and a purpusorum hyb.

This plant is much more pink in person. I’m going to cut back on watering it, but I’m quite proud of how it has grown so far!

Progress

New growth after ants chewed away at the apical meristem. I’m still surprised they climbed up my plant stand to target this one plant. I admire their persistence lol
