BScN at Centennial x TMU

I have an average of 82% for my top six grade 12 marks, will I get accepted into the BScN program at Centennial or no? And is it too late to apply now even though the website shows domestic applications are still open? how long will it take to get an offer if I apply now?

What’s the BEST/most reliable way to get into George Brown Dental Hygiene?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to figure out the smartest and most realistic pathway into Dental Hygiene at George Brown and would really appreciate advice from anyone who got in recently.

My current Grade 12 marks are:

  • Bio: 92%
  • Chem: 85%
  • English: 85%
  • Math: 73%
  • Overall average of top 6 Highschool courses was around 82%.

I’m willing to do whatever gives me the BEST chance of getting accepted, but I’m confused about which route is actually better:

  • upgrading my high school marks through TVO ILC OR
  • doing Pre-Health at George Brown

Which pathway gives the strongest chance of admission for DH?

For people who got accepted recently:

  • What averages/GPA did you have?
  • Is Pre-Health looked at more favorably than upgraded high school marks?
  • Would upgrading just my Highschool marks be enough in my case?
  • Do they look at your top 6 Highschool marks or just math, bio, English, chem/physics when calculating average?
  • What marks should I realistically aim for to feel competitive?

I keep hearing DH is insanely competitive, so I’m trying to figure out the closest thing to the “most guaranteed” route before committing time and money 😭

Any advice would really help, thank you

George Brown Dental Hygiene vs PN to RN bridge, what should I do?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to decide between:

  • Pre-Health → Dental Hygiene or
  • Pre-Health → Practical Nursing → RN bridge later

My Grade 12 marks were:

  • Bio: 92%
  • Chem: 85%
  • English: 85%
  • Math: 73%
  • Overall average of 6 highest U level courses including the ones above was around 82%.

I’m willing to retake courses through TVO ILC (especially math) and/or do Pre-Health at George Brown if needed.

What’s stressing me out is that I keep hearing:

  • Dental Hygiene is extremely competitive
  • but also that not everyone who becomes an RPN successfully bridges to RN later

I’ve also heard people say RPN isn’t viewed the same as RN, which makes me nervous because if I do nursing, I’d eventually want to become an RN.

I’m also wondering — if I DON’T need to do Pre-Health, would it be smarter to take Dental Assisting while upgrading my marks through TVO ILC? That way by the time I finish upgrading, I’d already have a diploma and experience in the dental field and be able to work at a dental clinic maybe before applying to Dental Hygiene.

Would upgrading courses alone be enough, or is Pre-Health worth it too? And if you were in my position, which route would you choose and what exactly would you do starting from June 2026?

Any honest advice would really help 😭
