Husband works for a regional airline. He took the week prior to due date and week after due date off, even though both previous kids were born two weeks early. Don’t know why he chose to do what he did but he did it so now I’m nervous he’ll miss the birth. Anyone dealt with something similar? How did it play out for you?
I had to hide chicken nuggets in my car this morning because my daughter (10) told me that if she took them with her to her fathers house, he’d start complaining, badmouthing me and start up an overwhelming conversation she didn’t want to have.
This has been an ongoing thing, it’s not just food (it can’t be because I’m my kids personal chef, meanwhile he’ll buy the kids McDonalds and it’s okay). He doesn’t help financially with anything, barely makes it to school events, told my kids that they couldn’t do or make anything for my husband (their very involved stepfather since they were toddlers) anything on Fathers Day. So my kids asked me to not post anything on social media regarding our Father’s Day because they didn’t want it to get back to their dads. This is an ongoing theme. They walk on eggshells around him and I don’t know what to do.
Any ideas? Or anyone going through or have been through the same?
