My baby Benji is underweight

Hi everyone. I'm new to this sub. This is Benji. He joined our family in May and he is a perfect angel (I'm not even joking, he's the best dog I've ever met).

The problem is the vet says he's underweight by 10 pounds and when I pet him, his ribs feel too prominent. He's 70 pounds right now and the vet said he should be 80-85 pounds. I bought the Purina food the vet suggested and Benji hasn't gained any weight. He eats grass so I think his tummy must hurt.

The vet didn't find any problems so I think I'm not giving him the right food. I've been reading online (that's how I found this sub) and it sounds like this breed has some stomach sensitivities especially to birds.

What food do you all suggest to help him gain weight and not have tummy pain? I don't mind cooking for him if he needs me to. Please drop your recipes if you have them and please tell me what foods you feed your pups.

Slow Cooker Spill Over

Hello everyone. I am domestically challenged but I made a fantastic pork roast in my slow cooker. While I was at work it boiled over and spilled underneath the ceramic part. Its a brand new slow cooker because I couldn't figure out how to clean this part on my last one and didn't want to be embarrassed when I took a buffalo chicken dip to a work gathering.

I don't want to throw this one away. Does anyone know how I can clean the inside of my slow cooker underneath the ceramic piece?

I appreciate any advice the group has. Please be patient with me, I am an idiot when it comes to cleaning but I'm trying really hard to learn.

This is Benji. His family can't keep him and I've wanted a dog for a long time. I've grown up around dogs and they're part of the family so I'm thrilled he's joining us.

The problem I'm running into is that my pets have always had titles such as General, Capitan, Doctor or Reverend or other interesting names. Our cat is named Buttons, The Great Toe Slayer. I love when the vet sends us reminder cards. It's a small piece of joy for me.

We'll still call him Benji, that's his name, but I'd like to introduce him to our vet with his official title. I want to name him after a really based historical figure with the first name of Benjamin. Benjamin Franklin is too problematic. Benji loves water so I feel like he should probably be an admiral. Is anyone aware of a good, decent historical admiral we could name Benji after?

He doesn't have to be an admiral but I'd like him to be named after someone good who's first name is Benjamin. I'm open to suggestions and appreciate this group's history knowledge.
