Chinese boxy hybrids in the UAE — real ownership experiences wanted before buying : Need help to choose a car

Looking for real owner opinions before I pull the trigger. Would really appreciate input from people who actually own/drive these.

My situation:
- based in the UAE
- I drive ~600–800 km/week (~36,000 km/yr) — mostly highway commuting
- No home charging (apartment), but I can plug in occasionally at ADNOC/Emarat/mall chargers
- Budget ~AED 120k, can stretch to ~160k
- I want something boxy/rugged looking with real 4x4 capability
- Priorities: low running cost + the look/capability come first, resale I care about least (planning to keep it long term)

The shortlist I've narrowed down to:

  1. GWM Tank 300 HEV (~150k) — hybrid, boxy G-Wagon vibe, strong warranty (6yr/200k + 10yr powertrain + 8yr battery)
  2. Jetour T2 i-DM PHEV (~155k) — 375bhp, ~100km EV range, Defender-ish looks
  3. JAECOO J8 SHS (~150k) — hybrid, up to ~169km EV range, more premium/less boxy
  4. Tank 300 petrol Challenger (~110k) — same look, keeps me under budget

What I'd love to hear from owners:
- Real fuel economy at highway speeds in UAE heat? (brochure numbers feel optimistic)
- Reliability so far — any gremlins, electrical issues, AC problems?
- Service experience with GWM / Jetour / JAECOO — wait times, parts availability, cost?
- For the PHEV/hybrid owners with no home charging — is it still worth it, or does the fuel benefit disappear?
- Anything you wish you knew before buying?
- If you cross-shopped these vs a Toyota, would you make the same choice again?

Not fussed about resale since I'll keep it long, but I don't want a maintenance headache at high mileage. Honest takes (good and bad) very welcome. Thanks!
