Hi everyone. Question.- for those of you in your 50s or empty nesters, particularly if you are in a state that is expensive to live in:
If you did decide to sell your house, did you buy somewhere else or rent?
Did you move out of the state that you were originally in?

I am trying to decide what to do.

I think about moving to states like Virginia, Delaware, one of the Carolinas, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Oregon, or maybe Georgia.

If you did move to any of these states, are you financially better off? Did you buy or rent? Did you end up moving back?

Side note- I WFH so a job would not be an issue. Unless of course I get laid off. Currently live in the tri-state area (NY/NJ/CT).

Anyone else use Allsup? We finally got a hearing date, but we’re told that there won’t be a representative assigned until about a week before the hearing? A week to go over all the medical?

Also, it may not even be an attorney or lawyer? I’m kind of confused and a bit frustrated.

Did anyone ask them to stop representing you? If yes, did you have to pay them and any lawyer you hired? They aren’t really being much help now. Getting kind of frustrated.
