As you can see in the video… After you’ve cleared an area and the enemies are fleeing, tackle one of them like you do a bounty. Then keep hitting them and you will gain knowledge about their factions including locations that get marked on your map!

Note: Sometimes the game doesn’t allow this as it sometimes prompts a cutscene. Or you may have still hostile enemies around that will interrupt your enhanced interrogation.

Since we don’t have a red line to help us on the minimap, I thought I’d share the trick I’ve been using (esp for wagon rides).

Simply use markers as breadcrumbs on the map to the destination, since we can use an infinite amount of markers on the map. I used green stars because no other icons looks like them on the map - mainly at intersections.

Conveniently once you’ve picked the map shape and colour, the game automatically selects the same for any follow up markers! No need to navigate to the shape and colour again.

The markers then pop up on the minimap so I never had to open the big map. They even echo on the minimap when you first encounter them. Screenshots for context.

NEW FINDING!!! This works on trees to fell them. At some point you have to use axe to get timber itself but initial chopping is no more.

UPDATE: Thank you to Greymanes who responded. I love this subreddit. Everyone is so helpful and friendly for correcting me on better yield.

Rather use Mining Knuckle Drill to get better yield. Hang from the side close to deposit, while equipping drill, and use R1+R2 at the same time on target location.

UPDATE II: I find the increase in ore negligible until super upgrading the drill. This is just so easy so I am going to keep using it as a way to mine.
