When printing PETG, the hotend will reach 255 degrees, and print just fine for a while. But slowly, over about 7 minutes, the temperature will drop below 245 which causes an E0007. At that point the printer locks up and has to be power cycled in order to respond to any input.
The silicone “sock” is in place properly.
The contact between the heater and the nozzle is clean.
There are no defects in the print.
Reducing the layer height only delays the error.
This does not happen to me with PLA or TPU
My thinking is:
The power to the hotend is insufficient for PETG
The software is not tolerant of this fault. (Why can’t it pause, reheat, and resume on its own?)
Has anyone else seen this problem?
