31M/UK - trying to find the people I vibe with.

I've been a bit if a recluse the past few years due to multiple factors. I'm wanting to change this and start meeting the people out there, that I know are meant to be in my life.
I'm 31 years old, from the UK and like to consider myself the funniest person on the planet. My girlfriend of 9 years disagrees, but this just reinforces the fact!
When I say my life has been a bit of a roller coaster, I genuinely mean it. I've had some pretty insane experiences, have travelled well (not as much recently), and could talk for ages about pretty much anything. I'd like to think my journey has turned me into a well rounded individual that has genuine empathy, combined with knowledge you can only learn from both extreme highs and lows.
To put it straight - I'm a massive nerd, animal lover (lots of pets), keen for adventure, music/gig enthusiast and outright comedian when I'm feeling settled. I'm always up for banter, but I'm also down for when the conversations turn deep.
I work from home full time due to being immunosuppressed from my health issues. However, I'm gradually getting out more and more finally. I play MTG and game on my PC in my spare time, but I'm always open to trying out new things too.
I'm looking for my people. I'll always put effort into conversations and would appreciate people who do the same. I'd also consider myself to be understanding towards everyones background and stories - but I'm not the type to stay quiet if I think you're being a dick, or expecting me to carry the weight of the conversation constantly.
