My problem: my partner uses Natio aftershave. It's an ethical company but I do not like the smell. Can anyone suggest a subtly scented men's cologne or aftershave.
Just now I listened to the opening lines of "Guards Guards". It brought to mind the ballad of Drunken Ira Hayes who died face down in a ditch. He had been an American hero, celebrated and lauded but he ended his life as an alcoholic. I wonder if STP had this in mind. The ballad would have been sung when STP was a young man. I remember the Bob Dylan version.
I imagine most people on this Reddit would be averse to zoos.
With the advent of the latest bird flu and the threat of extinction for many of our native birds, and maybe some fauna as well I've been thinking about zoos.
Maybe the only way to prevent extinction of our vulnerable species is to keep breeding animals in zoos until it is safe to release them. In captivity it would be possible to vaccinate them and ensure their survival.
Does anyone else have any thoughts on the subject?

I'm currently re-reading (listening to really) Weird Sisters. Granny's wish "let him be who he thinks he is" really resonates. I have an adult child who has always been told that their love for Barbie and all things beautiful was wrong. It has been a battle for them. My current mantra whenever someone criticises, rolls their eyes, clucks their tongues is "let them be who they think they are".

In my seventies I've finally bought a car for myself and want to put a "Whinny if you love dragons" sticker on it.

Maybe other stickers and bling also. It's my car and I want to personalise it, especially hoping to get honks from other Discworld drivers as I navigate around town.

Listening to ABC Radio this morning I heard about Plenty Foods protein powder.
Made from Kingaroy peanuts, vegan, gluten free. Up to 55% protein and fat reduced.
For people wanting extra protein this sounds like an ethical option.

I recently had dental surgery. While surgeon was sewing my gum I heard him ask assistant for gelatin pad. GELATIN!
(I believe gelatin helps manage bleeding.)
Too late to scream stop. No slaughter house products in my mouth!
