Recently there’s been a lot of discourse around AI generated mods, specifically bc of this weeks’ modrinth stuff. I was curious what people’s thoughts are about AI mods and if they are all bad or what.

I don’t know much about AI nor do I condone the use of it, I’m just trying to hear what people have to say :)

Edit: all of the comments helped a lot. My current stance is that the quality of the work does not make it slop. The point of making a mod is to be creative, have fun, and for YOU to add something the community. AI cannot be fun nor creative and therefore is slop. The amount of slop seems to be based off how much of the work is AI.

I DO NOT CONDONE GEN AI USE. I really just wanted to see what mc modders think so thank you all
