To breastfeed or not to breastfeed?

I am not looking for judgement, as I know this topic is controversial. I am just looking for advice, and shared experiences. I am pregnant for the first time. My gut is telling me to switch from my current provider who is "baby-friendly accredited" (which is focused on promoting breastfeeding and discouraging formula, from how they explained it to me). I really don't know what I want to do yet, but I know that I am worried about my mental health with breastfeeding. I understand that there are tons of benefits, but benefits won't outweigh the negatives if I am a miserable Mom because of it. I don't know for sure that I don't want to breastfeed, and I'd love to say that I want to, but I just don't know how I feel. I have a very active and committed career/lifestyle, and I don't think it would be possible for me to breastfeed/pump after 12 weeks of leave, and I'm not sure how challenging it is to wean off of it at that point (for both baby and my physical boobs) vs. just starting with formula and hoping for the best. Any advice? Experiences? Pros and cons?

Does anyone have experience with a baby friendly hospital? It’s a pro breastfeeding initiative accreditation that many local hospitals to me have. I was very turned off upon learning more about this as it seems very one track minded and not very flexible by any means. I plan to switch hospitals due to this, but curious to hear any experiences.

Hey y’all. I’m pregnant for the first time and have limited access to providers in my area of the country (USA). I’m curious what folks think of the advice I was given by a provider today. She said that after first trimester, I should start baby aspirin because of my two “low risk” factors for pre eclampsia. Those risk factors being BMI of 32, and a first time pregnancy. Is this old school? Is this necessary? I’m just looking for opinions, as I’m truly not sure. I am overweight but I’m also very active, I’m tall, and I’m built big. I’m healthy and have never had a blood pressure issue, as a matter of fact my blood pressure is typically low/on the low side.

Thoughts? Thanks in advanced.
