Extremely worried about cousins homeschool neglect

My 11-year-old cousin has been homeschooled her entire life in Canada except weekly Serbian school. Her immigrant parents are extremely conservative and strongly believe mainstream school would ‘ruin’ her, so she’s very isolated socially. She’s chronically on TikTok and Roblox exposing her to weird things online. Her mother does not teach her English school curriculum. My cousin has told me that her closest friend (similar age, also homeschooled), frequently says she wants to kill herself, so my cousin feels responsible for talking her out of it. My cousin has also told me she is developing pretty bad social anxiety, possible depression, and ‘bad thoughts.’

Her mom seems emotionally intelligent and nice, but they’re very firm on homeschooling, and when family previously pushed school, they cut them off. We want to bring up concerns without making them defensive or losing contact. Best way to approach parents when you’re worried about a child’s mental health, isolation, and possible educational neglect? Or anything else we can do? Any advice welcome we are so worried.
